Why did we remove Erythritol?
According to the FDA, erythritol is a very safe ingredient and it works well with our products. However, some of our customers spoke and asked to use an alternative. We chose to use allulose and monk fruit to develop the Vanilla Dream Smartcake.
What is Monk Fruit?
Monk fruit, a no-calorie sweetener from China, helps reduce added sugar intake while satisfying sweet cravings. It’s used in foods for its natural sweetness without affecting blood sugar levels.
What is Allulose?
Allulose is a low-calorie sugar alternative that’s about 70% as sweet as sugar and has negligible calories. It doesn’t raise blood glucose levels and is found in foods like wheat, figs, and maple syrup.
